The namaska crew is a collective of artists from different backgrounds and countries who originally drew their inspiration from their travels in India but are now all based in Perth and working together to produce traditional, and electronic, environmental dance music, performance and arts events in Western Australia.

For thousands of years music, dance, story, ritual and arts have been revered as powerful ways to bridge the worlds of body, mind and spirit to bring healing to the soul, connection to the planet and as a way of strengthening bonds within the tribe or community. We intend to co-create space, with safety and sanctity, for people to experience creativity, healing and transformational power of those ancient traditions that lie deep in the heart of all of us and are now being rediscovered in this modern age as part of a rapidly growing world wide dance music culture. It is about creation and expression, through music, people and environment, it ís a chance to celebrate together as a community and to refresh our energies within nature. In this ever changing world there is a constant need to open our selves up for new experiences of living and learning. For this we intend to create environments where we can drop our defences and barriers that we build in our day to day lives and tap into this unity which is easily accessible through the medium of music, dance, creation and celebration.

Our events are a work in progress co-created by everyone who attends and participates. Our aim is to create a celebration of music, technology, environment, arts and multi-culture. We expect these events to evolve over time and take on their own distinct flavour and character. We intend to make comfortable surreal environments within the beautifull native Australian bush for people to explore themselves and the power of rhythm and dance. This style of festival is in an evolutionary realm, where the organic meets digital and the ancient meets the future. These events aim to be drug and alcohol free. A successful festival is everyone's responsibility, happy fun people help make an amazing experience for all to share. Participation and creativity is encouraged. All forms of expression through dance and movement are welcome, as are positive artistic contributions. We ask that people have fun, be colourful, take good care of themselves, others and respect the environment.
