Please take the time to read this guide at least once before you leave home.

Site Hazards / Potential Dangers
The festival site is nestled in between two large granite rock formations that have vertical faces in some parts, be carefull walking the rocks during daylight hours
Please do not climb or walk anywhere on the rocks at night time !
Please wait until daylight. We have been asked to keep off the rocks at night time.
Please have respect for this request of the local community, for your safety, and for our liability, please do not climb or walk on the rocks after dark. Thank you !

Fires
No Campfires.
Fires are to be kept to the designated areas around the dance floor and market stage.

Water
Bring enough drinking water to sustain you for the entire weekend. At least 10L per person is recomended, there will be a water supply on site but treat this weekend as if you were going camping in the bush. Bring everything you would need to be comfortable for 3 nights and 2 days camping out. Here are some suggestions ...

Bring
A torch! ... toilet paper, food, rubbish bags, water, warm clothes and blankets (it can still get very cold at night this time of the year out in this area), cushions, couches, groundmats, tarps, sun cream, mosquito repellant (no aerosols please), etc.

Rubbish
Please take your rubbish home with you. If you bring it, pack it out! Leave only footprints. Try and stick to biodegradeable or recyclable materials. Leave excess packaging at home. Ie ~ take only what you absolutely need to bring, take food out of it’s excess packaging and leave the excess packaging at home. It will save space in your car and means you will have less rubbish to take home with you. Broken glass ... is a real hazard, we don’t recomend going barefoot, it is also seriously harmful hazard to local wildlife. Please be carefull with glass bottles on and around the rocks. Better still, don't bring glass. Just for a change, justfor this one even, buy aluminium cans, easier to recycle as well ! If you are going to bring drinks to the dance floors or market, there will be recycling bins there, please use them or take your bottles back to your camp. Please do not put other rubbish in recycling bins, please take anything that is not recyclable home with you.

Camping and Communication
Individual sites are not designated, you are free to camp anywhere within the designated camping areas. Respect the nature, leave your site as you found it. The only mobile phone coverage is Telstra’s NextG network. There will be a message board by the St Johns first aid caravan / info stand.

Alcohol
The event will not be licenced, there will not be alcohol for sale. Byo is allowed and you can buy takeaways at the Bencubbin Hotel.

Food
There will be some food stalls in the market area on site. There are also meals available at the Bencubbin Hotel, take away food and general supplies at the town store and real coffee and food at the local cafe in town also.

Toilets & Showers
There will be some toilets on site, byo toilet paper ! There will be no showers on site but you can go into town and have a shower at the town caravan park for a gold coin donation.

Dogs
There are possibly active dog baits in the area, no dogs.

Directions
This is the most direct route, is a nice drive and also has the least amount of traffic. From Perth/Fremantle, go to Midland and then take the Toodyay Rd off the Roe Hwy and go ...
Toodyay > Goomaling > Dowerin > Wyalkatchem > Trayning > Bencubbin Suggestions...stop in at Coorinja Winery 6km on the right before Toodyay and buy ginger wine, fuel up in Goomaling if you need to (there is fuel in Bencubbin also, sometimes Eftpos only), stop in at Dowerin roadhouse, don’t order ‘Absolutely Nothing’ off the menu, it costs $64.00 and you get absolutely nothing for it. Their chips are pretty good though and are not as expensive.
With a couple short stops on the way, the trip should take you 3hrs from Perth or Fremantle.
When you arrive at Bencubbin, go into town, have a look around, stock up on stuff you want, go back out the way you came in and take the Bencubbin ~ Mukinbudin Rd (Koorda ~ Bullfinch Rd) towards Mukinbudin, go 5km and then turn right down the Marshall Rock Rd, go 2km and you will arrive at Marshall Rock Nature Reserve, the site for Earthdance 2008.
